This series of work serves as a reminder to the fact that all living things on Earth are connected.  I’m drawn to the imagery of the aspen tree as they are great examples of this.  Connected underground by their roots within the heart of the earth, the aspen grove is a single organism.  It needs the sun, earth, and water to survive just like us.  I find it increasingly difficult to draw distinctions between different forms of life as time goes on.  It appears to me that there exists more unity and interdependence in life rather than not.  Within nature’s deep we can discover the depths of our own nature and open to the greater oneness of existence.
